The lightpost watching over

The rubble has finally settled
the pain is over
A man now pours water from his kettle
and drinks and dines with his lover

It happenned all so fast and slow
I couldn't grasp the edge
I slipped and fell into the glow
of darkness beneath a hedge

Now I wake to wonder if I slept
If I slept, what dreams were dreamt
I feel that something I could have kept
drifted away, yet upon return shall dispense

Dispense, dispense, dispense it will
I put my courage in it
the situation is not yet ill
and all the scattered peices fit
In the puzzle atop a grassy hill
you and I shall apear...bit by bit...
