I just finished watching an episode of ER where a woman tried to commit suicide by lighting herself on fire. They showed EVERYTHING. It was quite disturbing, and I think I was traumatized.
cue club 1.0 crackBurning to death would have to be the worst way possible to die. I guess that's what made it so hard for me to watch. Few things get to me like that.
As some of you may know, White of Underworld Productions was kind enough to give me a forum for my RPG project. At first, I was going to do a large, multiplayer game using my own system. When I was writing it up, I felt like I was reinventing the wheel. I mean, there are so many different RPG systems already, and I don't think we need another one just for forum roleplaying.
Then I was fortunate enough to learn of the System Reference Document. The SRD is an online summation of the d20 system, the backbone behind the latest edition of the Dungeons and Dragons game. So I've decided to do what I wanted to do in the first place: run a small (4 to 6 player) game of D&D over a forum.
Right now, I'm reading the 3.5 version of the Core Rulebooks, and writing up stuff that the SRD left out (such as character creation) as well as my own setting called East Meets West. Yes, it is what you think it is. I hope to start around the Summer, because more people should be available to play then.
Cha0s has already expressed an enthusiastic interest in the game, and I'm looking for three more players. If you're interested in joining, let me know. If there is enough demand, I'll allow up to six players.
See you around, and happy gaming!
Bots have been making SPAM comments on my Blog for a couple of weeks now. If this continues, I will have to disable comments.
Oh, and I'll make a "real" entry tomorrow.
I've been rather busy with school lately, not to mention work and... something else. I've got a big project to announce soon, but it's not quite ready for public exposure just yet. (If you're on the UP boards, you already know about it.)
My last final is tonight, and after that I'll be home free for a whole week! Woohoo (not) Well, I might not be taking classes this session because I need to see just what I need first.
