Yeah, they do. We have midterms for four days, having two each day (sometimes one, sometime 0, depending on your schedule).
PL2303 Driver tlchargerOur schedule went like this: Friday, we had midterms for periods 3 and 4. I have math period 3, so I had to go in (oh boy. Two months gone and I'm already stating the obvious -_-;). But I have gym period 4. What kind of gym teacher gives a midterm? So, I was allowed to leave, which I did.
Our next 2 midterms were scheduled for Monday, periods 2 and 5. I had English and Physics, so, again, I had to go in. But it was a delayed opening due to the "BLIZZARD '05!!!" So yeah. But we waited around for about half an hour, because they (they being the admistrators, principal, etc.) wanted to make an announcement. Some of the pipes froze in the subzero temperature -_-;;; The heat wasn't working, and it's against the law here to send kids to school with no heat.
So I was sitting in English, rejoicing over the fact that they decided to cancel school. I was so naive at the time -_-;;; (even...though...it was only...two days ago...). I didn't have to take my physics midterm which I was utterly unprepared for!
After this announcement was made, several kids in my English class that had cell phones immediately found signals in the room (...Apparently, my English classroom is the only classroom in the school with phone signals?). So, in a mad rampage, about 90% of my class left, leaving my English teacher, me, and two others.
My English teacher, being an *GASP!* English teacher, decided we were going to watch Twelfth Night by Shakespeare. However, one of my classmates requested a deck of cards, which my English teacher went to fetch. We turned off the sucky play and pretended the TV broke. Did we ever stop to think that an English teacher would fall for our guise? No, we didn't, and no, she
But we played bridge for about 5 minutes...I won the first round with the first hand. Then we played BS. It was fun, but I came in third :( The gambler in each of us (...including my English teacher...) came out, and we played Black Jack for pencils. I went in with 1 and came out with 5 o.O I never win card games.
Once one of my peers left, it was only me and Meghan (who is really nice), and while my English teacher was out, we played ROLLEY-CHAIR TAG!!!! We got on our rolley chairs and rolled around, swerving to avoid desks and TVs, which were the main obstacles. We were having fun! But then it was time to go home -_-;;;
So, our exams were pushed back to yesterday...I thought the English midterm was fairly easy, but physics is another story...-_-
I definitely think I failed it. But I don't really care, because I HATE PHYSICS.
Um...Yeah. All was well, I barely studied for German, which was scheduled for today. (Well, periods 1 and 8, but I have orchestra period 8, so...) But guess what? More snow! School was cancelled.
So, I'll have German tomorrow, and periods 7, then 6 (which would be lunch and global history for me) on Friday; the torture of exams, that should've only lasted 4 days...was stretched out to 6 days. OMFG!
Yeah. I'll update other stuff later. But click "Keep Reading;" I have more to say, that's not about midterms!
Wow. I'm really behind.
I don't even remember the last time I updated my blog -_-;;;
So, I'll start with the beginning of December. Um...Not much happened, really. I went to see National Treausre within the first two weeks of the month. Excellent movie, if I do say so myself.
Um...The day after I saw National Treasure, I downloaded Stepmania! (Of course, I still had AOL at the time, so it took, like, 5 hours -_-; Not really, more like 15 minutes...but it's only 4 megs...I DESERVE BETTER!!!!). I got a lot of songs. I was able to play songs on heavy before the New Year O.O
Um...Senjo's birthday party was the next Saturday. It was fun, but I only stayed 'til 10:30 because it was a sleepover, and I'm not a big fan of co-ed sleepovers...Zach was there as well, but he left a little later. We played Stepmania among othe things. ^_^;
We exchanged gifts, too. I'm too lazy to list what I gave to who..but whatever.
