Sonnets and Other Stuff

We started our poetry unit in English, which means we'll be writing poetry [as if you couldn't figure that out yourself -_-;]. Writing poetry will pretty much use up the little inspiration I have left for writing anything, so Southpaw will be put on hold.

We commenced this unit by learning about Shakespearean sonnets [which are claimed to be really hard to write, by I wrote mine in 10 minutes ^^]. Then, as you can only imagine, we began writing our own (I'll type up mine at the end of the blog).

They are fun to write - I'm thinking of writing another. My first one is about betrayal, and a hypothetical situation of when a friend betrays me [a HYPOTHETICAL situation, Safaia]. Yeah.

Other stuff: I'm hoping I can copyright the word 'anyblah' as MINE...meaning no one else can use it.

Also...I think my cat has a lap fetish [NOT the sexual kind *glare glare*], since he seems to jump up onto any lap available at any time...that came out wrong.

Also...I left school right after lunch yesterday because I was really sick. I went to the nurse three [count 'em...THREE] times, and on the third time, the nurse just said "You know what. Just call home and tell your parents to come pick you up." The first time, I went because my ear hurt. The second time because I felt like I was going to throw up, and the third time because I felt like I was going to vomit. Hehe. That reaminds me of the Men in Hats comic {www.meninhats.com} where (I believe it was) Aram that proposed a Vomitorium for Kids, where kids go to throw up on each other... heh. Neko also linked to this other funny comic...I believe it was applegeeks or something. Yeah.

I FINALLY got my Shonen Jump for this month...and it wasn't even for this month... they skipped an issue *whine complain* Oh well...I'll just have to purchase it at Babbage's the next time I go to the mall.

And now, as promised, I will leave you with my sonnet, about betrayal...

My trust in you just cannot be sustained,
Because of all the times you’ve betrayed me,
And above all my feelings you have pained,
When asked for help you’d only evade me,
I do not know why you’ve acted this way,
In the past we were like peas in a pod,
And now you only act to my dismay,
Please don’t hide, I can see through your façade,
You don’t know all the times you’ve broken trust,
And all those times you laughed behind my back,
And to me what you have done is unjust,
It seems it’s always me you would attack,
I’m letting you know our friendship ends here,
The way you’d treat me was far from sincere.

Tell me what you think ^^. Bye for now, I guess.

Spring Break Rant and Other Stuff

Finally! Spring Break is upon us in the town of Ridgefield, and I finally get 9 days off! YAY! More writing and...homework. That is what sucks about Spring Break. Basically some teacher decides the are going to ruin your break by giving you homework. Take science for example. Mr. Bozzuto ruined my break by giving us ALL of section 18 to do. *grunt*

Well, at least there is one piece of homework I'll be happy to complete. My social studies report on the Jazz Ape! Yay! er- *Age

Anyway, enough with the homework part. Let's talk about other stuff.

I feel so ALONE!!!! Oni is going to Wisconsin on Monday (tomorrow), and Safaia is in Florida as I'm typing this. Neko and Rachel are here though. Fuu has school, so I can't talk to her. ALONENESS! Yeah. Hopefully Oni will have access to a computer.

Poopy. The Secret Window isn't playing at Lowes on next Sunday. I wanted to see it. Perhaps Wilton will be playing it, as soon as they get their friggin movie list up.

On a lighter note... I get to stay up later (after 11! YAY!) and play my G.A.S.P. and internet games all I want. *crams in 7 hours of game playing into each day* Also, I'll get to write some more in Southpaw (Chapter Four). I also get to make my own lunch, which is very fun.

Um. Um. Yeah. I'll also get to eat a lot of god (for those of you who don't know my typo, I once stated "YOGURT IS GOD!" instead of "YOGURT IS GOOD!" So I've been saying "god" rather than "yogurt").

I finally finished my neighbor's Complete Far Side book. Two weeks ago. I forgot to return it. I better do that soon. Oh wait... they're in New Hampshire. Oh well.

I'm going to the library soon to check out this pretty good book from what I've seen. It's called The Merlin Conspiracy. Anyone interested in fantasy *glances at Oni* might want to check it out. Yeah.

DM is over! *sob sob sob* T-T At least there will be a reunion in April. Then I get to go to it again in the summer, giving me a break from Japanese camp. Yay! Can't wait.

This is just dragging on and on. I got a 98 on my Heritage Project, which probably guarantees me for at the least an 'A' in English this quarter. I got into Honors Social Studies too, according to what my partens said according to what Mr. Bagley said. Yeah.

Blah. There's this song I like on the radio called "Meant to Live" by Switchfoot. It reminnds me of when KT told us her friend commited suicide, but let's not get into that. Bud wrote a poem that he submitted to Doorways about it. I hope it gets in. (That means you have to vote for it, if that is what you do, Neko and Sam).

That's all for now, I guess. Bye.
