Days Go By (Ballad)

This poem is a ballad that I wrote.

gay guy single

For those that don't know what a ballad is: It's a poem that tells a story, and has a rhyme scheme of:

A
B
A
B
C
D
C
D...and so on, for as long as you'd like. Mine is pretty long (although I'd hardly call 9 stanzas a long poem)...so yeah. Click "Continue Reading Days Go By (Ballad)" to read

It was at the dawn of nightfall
A soft wail disturbed the tranquility
The source – a baby that was quite small
A newborn – born in a small little facility
For the next few minutes, the baby cries
In the arms of his father, his dad
Tears streamed down their cheeks, and welling up in their eyes
There were tears of joy, not tears you cry when sad
To the home of the couple this baby was brought
To be raised and to be cared for
To be taught what to do, and what he ought not
To help him on his way and be prepared for
The real world ahead and how to deal with life
How to overcome challenges – how to stay strong
And especially how to overcome strife
In a world he’d be his whole life long
At last, after five years of waiting, the day had come
The day had come for him to begin his school career
He’s there learning differences and sums
In Kindergarten, he’d have fun AND persevere
Fifth grade graduation rolled around
The past five years a big blur
Finally, he was middle school-bound
Although he was nervous, it was fear he did deter
In sixth and seventh grade he did exceptionally well
Math and English were his strongest subjects
Although in most of his classes he did more than excel
Although, over his busy schedule was he often vexed
Eighth grade came and went pretty fast
And this boy soon found himself at graduation
He realized, suddenly, all the years that had passed
He remembered his memories without hesitation
Days go by pretty quickly, he learned
He needs to stop and make the most of each one
Outside, he was ready for any way life turned
But on the inside, he wanted to relax, make memories, and have fun

Random Stuff

Yeah. I joined Syff's forum on...Thursday (I think. I don't remember)

It's fun talking about random things...and I made a thingy where you can only speak German!! yay! Neko and I are the only contributors... -_-;

Yeah. I have 40 posts as of right now....which is second to Syff...who has 64 and climbing...

Project Adventure is fun. We're doing Vertical Playpen which looks hard, but fun all the same. I'll try it.

I'm still searching everywhere for my lost inspiration for Southpaw...and I've been writing in AAO (my other fic).

I'm currently reading 1984 and The Bartimaeus Trilogy, Book 1: The Amulet of Samarkand. Those are 2 gooooooood books. Yeah.

Don't have anything else I wanna say...see you all later!

Discovering Me

Yeah. There's this camp that Neko and I go to (as well as N-Chan ^^) called Discovering Me. It's a cool plcae where you hang out, and find yourself, and learn to not pretend. I was inspired by that camp to write this Inside-Outside Poem. Even though the idea is to say how your insde and outside selves are different...

My inside self and my outside self
Are as different as can be
My outside self, a short, skinny guy
That has contacts and braces
There is close to nothing I won’t try
I’m someone who moves at his own paces
I’m quiet, except with my friends
A place I feel that I truly belong
A place where it’s okay to be wrong
My inside self is different
As you can see
Some may think I’m depressed
Because I’m suppressed
And because I listen to Evanescence
I always tend
Not to pretend
I tend to think it important to express, hence
I usually speak out
There is only one me
That no one can change
And one thing people don’t see
Is that I’m unique, not strange.

COmment, critique, I don't care. Bye.

A Very Good Day!!!

This is one of the best days of my life!!!!

Yay!

I got lots of happy news.

*Burns his Pez dispenser for no apparent reason*

Yeah.

Today, I first went to homeroom and found out we were signing up for activities tomorrow!!! [for those who don't know what I'm talking about, don't ask].

Then came math. We got our tests back that we took yesterday, and I got a 99!!! If you know me well, you know that that doesn't happen often.

Then came English. I went to the book fair to shirk poetry-writing, since I had no inspiration.

Then German, where I found out that we were going to have a field trip on May 12th, lasting from periods 3 to 8!!!!!!!!!!

Then, Health, where we played this random game where we had to copy the action the "leader" did. It was fun.
