the title says it all folks, Brian and I had a wonderful fun weekend. We hung out here for a bit, then he took me home for the weekend and we played with the puppy, watched Star Wars III, went to a little festival down town, watched The Incredibles, and also To Kill a Mocking Bird. Brian and I got to do much snuggling which is good and fun, and the puppy was adorable cute, and <3.
I loves my Bri. Though now we won't see each other for a month or so. I only have 2.5 more weeks of school left thank god, and then I get to relax, finally. Hopefully start a job, work on my novel, finish that song I recorded because I can, make some more levels for my marathon mod, and I dunno what else. I have a lot of things I would like to do this summer (OH YEAH, and sew Andrew's Ambrosia Logo) and not nearly enough time to get it all done.
Just 2.5 more weeks.
I got a solid B on my Chem test and an A- on my math test. Awaiting the Fairytales essay.... oh dear, it's almost time to start studying for finals...
<3 to all
Math midterm today. Convergence and divergence of series. I think I did okay. I have an essay due tomorrow but because I actually thought ahead, I did it on friday. So now all I have to do is look it over, and maybe try to make it suck less (because it sucks a fuck of a lot right now, I didn't know what to write about so I made some shit up about distinguishing between good and bad lies, and good and bad truths, and what exactly a good lie and a bad truth is.)
Though I should note, the whole class, Fairytales and Fables, is basically bullshit, and that's just what runs the class. Maybe my essay doesn't suck as much as I feel it does.
But that is doubtful.
Anyway, so then all I have left is a chem midterm on friday, and then right after that Brian is visiting me. He's taking me home for the weekend, which is awesome. He gets to see puppy, and we all (including some of my family) might go see star wars. So all good fun yes.
Until then, I guess I study for chem. I got the software to make marathon maps, I might try that out this week if I have time.
Oh, and the whole reason I made this entry: Brian's Blog has been seeing a lot more action lately. So those of you who don't regularly go to it because it had been dead for so long, go check it out. He's been doing some fun things.
Hope you all have a lovely week.
Edit: Woah. I just re-read my essay (I haven't touched it since Friday) and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was.... I may not get an awful grade after all. *knock on wood*
Sorry, I'm incredibly bored and am trying to do whatever I can to
1. Not do homework even though I should
2. Not go on to TTS forums because I'll spend the next hour refreshing pages and posting shit
3. Not eat cause I really dont need to, it would just be fore the sake of eating
So I'm a little perturbed to say the least. Meh.
I was just about to launch into a complaint about what kind of homework I have to do but no one cares. :)
Alright, whatever, I'll just listen to some music and force myself to do homework.
Later, all <3
Best. 17 months. Ever.
Hands down.
Hehe. Brian made an entry so I knew I had to make an entry as well, so here it is. :)
I love you, my fishy.
So on thursday at approximately 5 pm my shipment of HHGttG, the whole series in a dictionary-sized 800 page volume, arrived. At approximately 8 pm today, saturday, I finished it all, and another book I had to read for fairytales (before I started hhg.) That's roughly a little over 900 pages of text in the span of 51 hours, which giving me time for sleep and class and eating, averages out to around 33 pages an hour. for the past two days.
My eyes are tired and my brain is swimming.
I feel pretty good though.
That is all, because my focus on text is incredibly limited right now. I gotta let myself reset and recharge.
later, dudes.
<3
Calc midterm: A
Fairytales essay: B
Fairytales midterm: havent found out yet
Looks like I've fared pretty good so far. I really didnt expect any better on the essay. I'm very happy with the A in calc, even if it was a low A (91/100) because I desperately needed that. That should get my grade up to a B-, I hope. heh. Damn calc.
I have a chem lab due tomorrow I havent started yet. I really really dont want to do it.
Meh.
Dont really have anything interesting to say. completed the rubik's cube in around 17 minutes.... but that's not really interesting, now is it?
I guess that's all for now.
Bri, love ya, babe.
Talk to you guys later,
<3
huh, this movie got off to an odd start, dont you think? I did like it though. lots of fascinating things and pretty CG stuff. The moment Brian and I got back to my dorm we looked up the "trilogy" on amazon and I'm going to buy it. (all five books in one hardcover edition for 10 bucks. shit yes.) So that was much fun.
Also this weekend, Brian got me a Rubik's cube. One of my lab partners in chem had been showing me how it works, and so now I had the chance to fiddle around with it to see what I could do. I solved it in 24 hours (not straight, there was movie and sleep and not sleep in between. probably about 4 hours actually working on it) and I'll tell you right now it is a frustrating sonofabitch. And it's goddamned depressing when you only have two more cubes to fix and then you get confuzzled by the intricate means of twists and then look down at your destroyed patterns and wonder why youre doing this. If I could only go from start to finish without screwing up and having to start over, I could probably finish it pretty quickly. I finished it again today in about an hour, though I had to start over about three times. (you dont want to know how many times I had to start over the first time) heh. It's pretty fun to figure out what's going on though. Like, I can do about half the moves from memory now, but the other half (like getting the middle row of the sides and rotating the corner pieces) I have to look at the bookelt or this neato website I found that presents Rubik's solutions visually, something my booklet that came with the thing didnt do. It just labelled every side with a letter and I had to keep looking back at it to see what was what. Anyway, my completed cube is sitting on it's little stand now and it looks quite magnificent.
In other news, I never told you guys how last weekend went. I got to play with my family's new puppy, and she is incredibly adorable. She is so tiny and fragile that you almost think youre going to hurt her by playing with her. She's such a sweety.
What else.... I had two midterms last week that I think I did okay on, I'll probalby make an all-caps entry here if I do good on them. hehehe.
That's all I can think of right now. I might go try to solve the cube again, but it depends.... It looks so nice and not-screwed up, dunno if I want to mess with it.
Later, all.
<3
mmmm.
I like.
That is all.
p.s. brian is coming over this weekend yay whee, we're going to see hhgttg! yaywheefun <3
One week I'm bored as hell, the next week theres not nearly enough time in the day for me to get everything done. This is frustrating.
That is all for now.
