Amazing, but true. As I posted in a comment on dmiessler's site, I'd never thought of this too much, but it makes perfect sense looking at a couple of girls I know. Check it out:
I think only observant guys will really care. Most girls will probably notice problems with these types of girls immediately... but seeing as most guys (such as myself) are stupid, they'll just take what they're being given and not think about why this girl seems to be all over you for no reason. Let's face it, men will be men.
Still, as I said, observant men will certainly notice what's going on. This type of women will look very exciting and happy on the surface, because they're way more fun for lesser men to be around. More astute men, however, will see through it, and probably try to help them. It's really too bad there aren't that astute and observant men...
This video is awesome.
It's Sir Ken Robinson talking about how the educational system is teaching kids that being wrong is always a bad thing. In truth, being wrong is the first step towards doing something incredible. Children are naturally not adverse to being wrong. They don't really care. They just go ahead and give things a try, because they think it might be a good idea. That's where creativity begins. But... a lot of people don't seem to understand that.
The video is very inspiring, and humorous, too.
A triple header from the dmiessler blog today. First up is his post on "The Unity Machine." Make sure to check out the original post, which explains it better. I think it's an interesting idea, though there are definite problems with it. It looks like he's aware of that, though. A good read, though.
Here's the proof that Macs are only safer because there aren't as many people using them, and that we should all be using Linux instead.
