HeadQuarters update, among other things

Well, it seems like this blog is now actually serving it's purpose. Never thought that that'd happen. Anyways, first thing's first off the top of my head. Dy4 HeadQuarters (note the lowercase y, ooh, ahh...), the site of yours truly, has been taken down (a month ago, I think), and is just now being redesigned. Reason as to why (other than it just plan sucks anyways) is because I got Dreamweaver 3, free. Even thought it's a bit old, it still made a site that had more priority than HQ (meaning school related), and worth it's weight in code. As to the site design, I have only a few scant ideas about the site layout, any ideas would be appreciated.

Next matter of disscusion: the new Mission Viejo Apple Store. It opened on the 13th, and of course, I was there. It was about the coolest thing I've ever gone to. A photo album might suffice of the emotion and plain coolness of it. We (family) got there an hour and thirty before it opened. That planned to be a Good Thing, as you can see the line of people in the photo album. Anyways, skipping all the awesomeness that was the grand opening, I got Panther, a nice 120GB HD, and a free tshirt to top it off. I had originally planned to have some ASW members to join in, and some did. I never saw them, possibly because I was too far up in line (about one of the first fifty). Awesome night.

Boatloads of little things we call letters are to follow the link below...

So, according to Gage_Stryker of the BnB, today is BnB Appreciation Day. Joy. Yes, of all days, he had to pick the one that only exists every 4 years.

In addition to Dreamweaver 3, I also have gotten a few other things from this "free" source. Things like Toast, DW3, a Mac SE, and most recently, iLife. And with iLife comes GarageBand, Apple's new consumer music creation app. I had to use it. With it, I've created quite a few songs with it, and have begun composing a album, When The Clock Strikes Nine. This will basically contain my first a dozen of good songs. I call it WTCSN because I usually begin making songs at about 9 PM. Mostly, it will be orientated towards rock, but I found that most of my best works have been some techno-electric stuff. To quote millions of teenagers worldwide, "whatever."

Next: my Internet connection dilemma. For those who have actually spoken to me, you know that my connection is a wifi network from my neighbor's house. As far as I know, they have no clue about my usage of their network. They have about 7 base stations, one of which is WEP protected, a hidden one, and two I cannot access under normal circumstances. For almost a year now, I've been leeching off their network with a cable connection with a few, but devastating, lapses. That and the bandwidth received is teh sukc. Being a WarDriver-in-training, I've already done my business of scouting places of wifi networks in local areas. Local areas being my house, I've found that the best signal in my house is the one that is WEP protected. So, I've downloaded a widely-used stumbler and cracker, KisMAC. So far, I've collected a bit of data on that network... about half a meg. So, I set it to work using the bruteforce method at night before I go to bed. The next morning, I find that the progress bar hasn't moved, and that KisMAC took all available CPU time that the computer could supply in a night. Ignorance is bliss. Plan Two: Use a bigger rig. It so happens that my "free" source also has a top-of-the-line dualie G5. Tomorrow, I'm going to get that monster working on it 24/7 for the week and see if I can get the keys from that. What that means: I'll be happier having a better connection, and you all will get to see me more often!

Also on the front of problems, I've got the weirdest, harmless (apparently) bug in my system. The day before I got Panther, I defragged my HD. All of the sudden, I've been getting the strangest sound output, usually around 8:25 PM. Then when I installed 10.3, I wiped the disk for good measure, unaware that this problem would still be existent. I still have it, for some strange reason. I'll upload a WireTapped session of this reoccurring anomaly.

As if to remind myself of my copy of Panther, I'm offering my IM address, which is also my email address to have audio chats. I'm bored, only talked to about a couple people. The magic string of characters is: dy4_@mac.com

Speaking of other people, one of my best friends now has an Internet connection (finally... I was thinking they were Amish), and a eMac to top it off. I'm going to see if I can get him to join the online community that I currently am a part of. Then we could have local team fights :-). But, you ask, if he's completely computer illiterate, how could he possibly do the things I do? Don't worry, having SSH and a remote-accessible admin account on the machine is better than any walkthrough or tutorial >:-)

So, that's all I could think of right now, or simply tired of looking at this MT screen. I think the latter is the reason why.

P.S. Thanks to soyd00d for the help on the linkbar.
