An update, since I haven't posted in almost a month

Heh, oh yeah, my blog!

So, anyway, the last month has been pretty busy. Here's all the shit I've been up to:

  • Did a play. I didn't say anything about it because, well, I was too busy actually doing the damn thing. The show was M. Butterfly, and it was a spectacular success (both in the sense that a lot of people came to see it, and it was a damn good show).
  • Doing another play. The Normal Heart will be opening up on June 9th. It's a chipper little show about the beginning of the AIDS epidemic in New York City. Real light-hearted fare.</sarcasm>
  • Saw Episode 3. Holy shit, awesome movie. I'm going to see it again Friday afternoon with my Dad, and I could stand to see it a third time, it's just that good.

That's all I can think of, but that's mainly because I'm really hungry. The Lair update has made progress; all I need to do now is finish up the existing Rants, and then add the Rants and Reviews that have piled up in my Inbox, and I'll be good to go. I'm also probably going to dump a ton of quotes into the Quote Archive.

The Joke Archive won't get updated to the new layout yet (I know, that sucks), but I need to get moving with the update; if I waited to finish it, it wouldn't get done until after MacWorld (mid-July). However, when it is updated, it'll have an extra hundred or so jokes in it (no kidding).

So, anyway, I guess that's it. Hopefully something momentous will happen in Real Life that will give me something to actually talk about. No promises, though.

Woohoo! Good news. I was wondering whether you'd dropped off the face of the earth. I feel so... empty without Lair forums to read. Mmm, that reminds me: have you decided on the replacement/redesign/whatever for the forums yet? Or is that yet to come?

P.S. Episode 3 was MUCH better than 1 or 2. The acting could still have used work, but overall it was a much better movie. :)

Believe me, the Forums coming back are still something I think about. However, with as busy as I am, I haven't had much time to do anything about it. As it is, all the Rants and Reviews still have links to their old "discuss this article" posts; I'm not removing them because it'd be too much of a pain to redo both the HTML code and the CSS when I'd just be adding it again later down the road.

Also, it doesn't help that I have to keep taking care of other internet issues. Sunday I had to go through the Blacklist (which is no easy task) several times to strip out redundant subdomains. Once I did that, a (fairly serious) error that I was having was eliminated; I couldn't add to the Blacklist anymore, which is a Very Bad Thing.

The other Internet Issue I have to deal with is evula.org; I got a warning from Hostrocket about the massive amounts of email still sitting on the server. After the Lair update, the next order of business is going to royally smite the entire site, deleting *all* web accounts that are inactive (fairly easy for me to see which ones were never used), and then turn my attentions towards email accounts that are inactive.

There's also something else that I need to direct my attentions to again, but that is filed under the <cryptic grin> file...

Ah, the <cryptic grin> file. I'll have to steal that one at some point. :D
