Whee. It only took me sacrificing a Saturday... actually, that's not true, but it did take me about 4 and a half hours to clear out everything. Factor in the time I took to eat a late breakfast/lunch and get sucked into a damn sappy movie on TV (Someone Like You, if you must know), and it pretty much killed my Saturday.
Thankfully, with gas prices being what they are, I wasn't planning on going out much this weekend anyway.

Posted by: V at September 4, 2005 02:08 AMeh… what is the Blacklist, exactly?
Posted by: Moo at September 5, 2005 12:11 PMThe Blacklist runs in the background over the entire blog.evula.net system, preventing spam bots from posting bogus comments. Blog spam works differently; bots spam sites to get as many instances of a URL out into the world as possible, so that their Google ranking goes up (which, I would assume, somehow gets them money).
Blog spam is obnoxious to deal with, but MT-Blacklist is extremely effective. I can check all of the blogs at one time, and individual users can check their own blogs (and if they add another site to the blacklist, it protects *all* blogs).
Posted by: EVula at September 5, 2005 02:34 PMNeat!
