Trouble at Imperial HQ

My computer is getting... quirky. For a while yesterday, my extra keyboard buttons (volume control and CD tray) weren't working. I defragged stuff and repaired the hard drive today, and that functionality has returned. However, now Outlook Express (which I still use because I haven't switched over to Mail yet) is working at all.

Right now, I'm seriously looking into getting a new computer. Apple's got some damn good deals on the store, with one in particular tempting me. Specifically, a refurbished 20-inch iMac G5: 2.1GHz, SuperDrive, 250GB hard drive... all for a measly $1,299. If my computer is still acting up this weekend, you can bet your ass that I'll be placing an order on Monday.

Use Mail! It rocks! The end.

Yeah, I've been meaning to switch over. When I first installed Tiger, I had a bitch of a time with Classic (and I couldn't convert my old email to Mail without using Classic).

Once I have some spare time, I intend on switching. However, I'd rather get a few Lair updates done at some point...

I bought my iMac just before they came out with the new ones with the built-in iSights and stuff.

Those bastards.

Heh, yeah, the hardware update on that was crazy short. Usually I'd blame the person complaining for waiting so long to buy one, but in this case, you're totally justified. :)

yea my friend just got a new macbook, mainly for school, cause hes getting final cut 2 and hes majoring in film... but he's letting me play with it for a while, to put the good stuff on it, since its his first mac and my uncle (who built both my macs by hand) is sending me a bunch of stuff for it
