Go see it Friday when it comes out. I just came back from an advance screening, and absolutely loved it.
I liked Planet Terror more than Death Proof, but I also have a soft spot in my heart for zombies (trivia: I wrote the vast majority of the Zombie Survival Guide Wikipedia article).
Also, the films are absolutely hilarious, as are the trailers. Werewolf Women of the S.S.? Hell yes, sign me up. :)
Posted by Eric at April 5, 2007 12:04 AMI would. It's just that I'm not a big fan of the horror/thriller genre. A friend invited me to go see the Ring with him. I had no idea what it was or I probably wouldn't have agreed to go. Suffice it to say, I was scared out of my wits and have since abstained from all forms of horror/thriller movies. But it's good to know it reviewed well!
Posted by: Cha0s at April 5, 2007 07:04 PMOh, neither movie is in the same category as, say, The Ring. That's a horror film; Grindhouse is more of an homage to the exploitation films of the 70s. The first one is downright hilarious (I mean, damn... you've got a girl running around with a machine gun for a leg. You can't do that and expect it to be a serious movie).
