Well I had a great time with EVula, Pikeman, LoneIgadzra, Danny, and MadFax7 this week. Between the various meals, video games, very long walks around Boston, and aquarium visit, I'd say it was all around awesome.
Siemen unlockBecause there was a lot of stuff going on for the three days I hung out with people from the internets, I'm including this simple bulleted list of things I learned from Macworld Boston 2005:
They don't care what kind of business title you give yourself on your badge.
The iPod iGuy is frickin' weird.
EVula and Pikeman are exactly what I expected.
Harvard Square is farther away from Back Bay than I remember. Much farther.
They reuse the iMacs every year for the internet cafe, and don't update any software on them.
EVula has a tapeworm. Seriously.
Danny rules. Best... host... ever.
MadFax7 is a very popular guy. His cell phone was ringing all the time.
Playing a game of badminton to a final score of 225 to 222 is not always a great idea.
Pikeman is too good at Halo 2.
Mario Kart is apparently everybody's favorite game.
Jelly fish are way cooler than regular fish, and they love what we're doing with the planet. I'm now a strong supporter of dumping sewage into the oceans, overfishing, global warming, and who knows what else.
The Blue Line is very odd. I think I'll avoid it in the future.
Computer geeks make ordering pizza far more difficult than it should be.
I'm better at Texas Hold 'em than I thought I was.
Next time I'll take four days off work and spend the fourth day just sleeping.
See ya around!
