For those who didn't get a chance to see the 5-hour long triple overtime Orange Bowl between Penn State and Florida State, you sure missed an amazing college football game. It finally ended at 1AM Eastern Time, with a hard-fought victory for Penn State (yay!).
MUonline password 900Some of the highlights included a safety (which I predicted before the game began, and was rather pleased to have gotten one), a field goal kicker who had lots of trouble getting field goals (caused the game to go way too late), far too many penalties and injuries, and the two winningest coaches in college football nearly having heart attacks as the game went on and on and on.
The game was quite tense, with no scoring in the second half of the game except the safety and a field goal, which lead to a 16 to 16 tie and the necessity of overtime. It finally ended 26 to 23. The game was pretty much all defense and kicker blunders, with neither team getting any breaks.
The Rose Bowl is supposed to be more prestigious, but I doubt they'll get as good of a game as the Orange Bowl this year. Expect interesting things next year as a result.
