College Students Don't Always Update Each Day

Sorry About That

This entry is being written a bit late. I had stuff to do yesterday, and I completely forgot about the entry for today.

key code for Cod 2

In other news (unrelated of course), I got the Season One DVD for Star Trek Voyager yesterday. Yes, I admit it, I'm a fan of the shows. I'm not completely nuts, I've never been to a convention, nor have I dressed up as a Klingon or anything. I have watched pretty much every episode of TNG through Enterprise, and quite a few of the original series, but I'm not completely nuts. I do recognize the difference between Star Trek and reality.

Anyway, I do apologize for the lateness of this entry, and once again insist that the DVD set is completely unrelated to that. We'll just pretend that I didn't realize that it is a leap year and therefore did not plan to do an entry for this nonexistent day.

See you tomorrow, right on time.

mrxak's Assorted Webspace Upgrades to CSS

mrxak's Assorted Webspace is announcing the use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).

I used to use JavaScript to make the cool little sidebar link thingies on my site (and you can still see it here), but I decided that my life would be much easier without it. I'm now using CSS to better manage my various sites and have interesting special effects. Not everything is quite yet how I'd like it, but at least most of the pages have been updated.

There are a few other changes, which you can read about on the main page of mrxak's Assorted Webspace.

Enjoy!

I Love Terrible Disaster Movies

Just about every disaster movie ever made has terrible plot, acting, science, and pretty much everything else that movies need to be good. I still love them.

Comedies have nothing on such classics as Atomic Train, Atomic Twister, Twister, Volcano, or Dante's Peak. If you want to laugh yourself silly for a few hours some night, just find one of these movies to watch. The worse they are, the better. If it has the word "Atomic" in it, it's bound to be hilarious.

Now, the thing to do is look for similarities in these movies. For instance, there is always a single parent, or divorced couple, or whatever. There is either some new romantic interest, or the couple gets back together again. The dog always survives. Then, look at the science involved in these disasters. It will almost always be horribly, horribly wrong.

I like to think of myself as a collector of sorts. I seek out new bad movies to watch. Disaster movies are good bets. So are horror films, but that's an entry for another time.

Enjoy!

Another Postmortem

It's midnight where I live, but Hawaii results aren't in yet. I does appear that Kerry will win Utah and Idaho, however. I've got stuff to do (it's actually quite interesting, so I'll have to write about it soon) so I can't stay up and watch the results come in. I will try to update this entry later in the day.

Okay, the results are in now.

In Hawaii Kerry won with 50%. Kucinich actually got 26%. Edwards only got 14%. In Utah, Kerry got 55%. Edwards came in second with 30%. In Idaho, Kerry beat Edwards 54% to 22%.

Yay for Kerry!

Three More Votes

Today we have Hawaii (love that place), Utah (never been there), and Idaho (known for potatoes). There's only two viable candidates left, Kerry and Edwards. I don't expect much of interest to happen, but we'll see.
