I'm Still Alive

Just in case anyone was wondering because of the lack of posts in a while. I have been up to interesting things, but unfortunately don't often remember or have the time to post something.

School Shooting

Well, there was an armed robbery on my campus yesterday in the early morning hours. Three guys came into one of the cafeterias and robbed the two women employees who were opening it up. Although they cooperated, one of the robbers shot both of them. One bullet grazed the head for one, one bullet in the hand for the other. Both were fine and out of the hospital after only few hours, thankfully.

Very weird though. I can't imagine them getting away with very much money. Everyone uses swipe-card things with their picture on them with various combinations of meal plans, food debit, or "Tiger Bucks" a flexible debit type thing that is good anywhere from the Ben and Jerry's on campus to the bookstore. Almost nobody uses cash, so I wouldn't think there'd be much to steal. Plus, it was early morning anyway. There would only be a minimum amount used for giving change.

They've increased security a bit, but I don't think anybody is really worried it will happen again. It's a very safe campus, and this thing seemed much more stupid than scary.

Oh well.

Debate

Well, the first debate has arrived. A very exciting time in the political world.

Too bad it was boring.

I'd mention things, but really, there is little point. I think Kerry won slightly, because at least he could speak correctly. It's also not past his bedtime, so he was more alert.

So really, I was unimpressed for the most part. Pretty much a tie, leaning towards the Democrat. A few good points, but he didn't say all that he needed to say.

Whatever.
