Random Stuff

Because I have so few postings nowadays, it's easy to post more serious things and overlook the random stuff that my blog is so famous for. So in honor of days gone by, I hereby present, some random:

Interesting to note, when pounding my head into my keyboard, it seems my forehead strikes the number keys about 78.6% of the time. But perhaps we need more data.

About 67.8% numbers that time. Clearly my forehead is is hitting the keys higher up on the keyboard. Well, thanks for stopping by for some mindless blogging (as if there was any other kind).

Come back soon!

Space Invasion Deterrence

Which is more likely to be invaded: Earth or Megalon 14?

One internet citizen gives us the run-down.

As you might imagine, our planet looks mighty appealing right now to hostile space-faring civilizations. I support the change to Megalon 14 to protect our way of life and preserve the survival of our species in the malevolent vacuum of space. The cost-to-benefit ratio of this change would be staggering. Instead of attacking us for our resources and living space, aliens will go somewhere else, like Mars. In time, we can force them out from our solar system entirely with just the threat of sending landing assault craft on their new colony.

Hail Megalon!

CNET Bandwidth Meter Speed Test

Find out what kind of bandwidth speeds you really get, not just what your ISP tells you. I'd suggest testing several times in a row and averaging the numbers. It also might be a good idea to run the test at several times during the day, as internet traffic in your area may be higher or lower at different times.

Anyway, back home now in Massachusetts, I get about 3 mbps (approximately 3000 kbps).

Enjoy!
