Well, before I go off into more OMGZADVENTUUURS at the high school, I guess I'll start with what I got on my midterms, and approximately how many questions they were in total.
reqwireless goneI guess I'll go from lowest grade to highest grade (take note I'm doing this all from memory; we're not allowed to keep our midterms).
Science (earth science h): 78%, no curve added (yet). 75 multiple choice, 50 points in short answer/essay, 60 points in lab questions. 53/75 on multiple choice, 49/50 on short answer/essay, 41/60 on lab (-_- I suck). Class average was 73%, highest was 83%.
Math (Geometry): 87%, 5 point curve "built in". 5 problems you had to do out, a bunch of multiple choice. Class average was 83%.
English 1 H: 94% We had, like, 15-20 multiple choice of vocab, a bit less for matching characters to quotes, had to do, like, 9 or something questions on literary terms in a poem, analyze 3 quotes from a bank of them (explain significance, identify authors, titles, genre, etc.), and an essay (explaining how families, societies, etc. identify themselves through stories told by story tellers, how story tellers identify themselves, how they question history, etc.). I would have gotten a 95 except I forgot to write down the author of To Kill A Mockingbird. -_-;;;
German II: 94%. It was 94.8, but was rounded down. Or something. Anyway, it was out of 290, and I got...something. I forget. 274, I believe it was. Something close to that. We didn't actually write during it at all.
As for Global History I H, my GHH teacher wasn't there today ( :( ), so I don't know what I got on that. I don't think I did so well because in the essay, we were supposed to use two or more themes of geography, but I totally forgot about them until my last body paragraph. -_-;; Nyerr. And the essay was, like, supposed to be centered around them. Or something. You had to define them but I didn't do that, either. -_- I have NO IDEA what was wrong with me when I took that exam, but apparently I was on "selective reading" mode and read only what I wanted to read. -_-
In any case, in the last body paragraph, I used three themes of geography to support my contrast half of "compare and contrast". Nyerrggggg. I can't believe I didn't talk about them more. :( I didn't realize that I basically sucked at the essay until the weekend...-_-;
I know I got a 92 on the multiple choice part, so if I do badly on the essay, at least I'll get a B+. But still...:(
Anyway. If you want to hear about my OMGZSECONDSEMASTORADVENTUR, click "continue reading 2nd semester...*wham*" below.
Okay, so, new semester. This semester, because I had both of my half year electives last semester, I have health and gym. Health is 6th period, gym 3rd. Naturally, there is one day where I have study hall twice during the cycle, and that was today (A day).
So I walk into study hall 3rd period...and it's very crowded. Very. And the room is rather small as well. Turns out that not only were there two study halls somehow in there at the same time, but somehow an English class had booked the study hall room for that period as well. OMGZ!!!LOL112!@!@
Maciejewski or however you spell that walked in and sorted us study hall people out and we went to our study hall classes. I have no idea if we'll be in the same room next study hall or what. By the time we actually sat down in the class, at least 20 minutes had been wasted. Not like study hall is actually important, anyway, so I did German extra credit and listened to music the whole time.
Then, 6th period, my study hall teacher never showed up. We were told to sign a piece of paper and then we were allowed to leave. If my study hall teacher showed up after and I get a cut, I will be very angry. -_-
I just sat with some nice kids in 6th period lunch and managed to find Erin somewhere, talked to her the last 5 or 6 minutes of it.
Whee. -_-
In other news, I've started a new story called Hidden. It's not very good so far, and I have problems with awkward repetition of phrases ("wet sand", for instance), but...yeah. I've felt like my writing has begun regressing since November and I figured (after waiting a month before starting any "real" writing and working on fanfics) that this might help.
In other other news, I've gone through and deleted the entries of my blog I consider "stupid". ^_^; Mostly the ones that consisted of me ranting about one thing or another.
G'night all!
