Talk about busy! I turned in the final draft of my English essay yesterday, turned in a social studies project today, and finished a science lab due tomorrow a couple hours ago. @.@
disney cruise shipNot only that, but it seems that my script partner (who'd been recommended to me by the teacher) is rather reluctant to work with me...Whenever I ask her if she wants to work on it, she says she has other things to do, so I just smile and say it's fine and go to scribble thoughts on it down on a random piece of paper...Oh, this is a script for our '20's Festival this year; we all had a topic for the research and we're making skits on them.
I started working on Chapter 7 of Age of the Unknown today, but I haven't typed it up yet (I took out a scrap piece of paper and started writing on it during English after a quiz with nothing better to do).
I got the entire Fruits Basket series over the weekend ~yay~ and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Very cute, very funny, and also with those serious moments that make you want to cry...like any good show. ^_^ Oh, let's not forget the touches of romance on the side as well. Can't go without that! ^^
I might not be able to go to National Guitar Workshop this summer. T-T You see, we signed up early for the discount and everything, and yesterday we got the catalog for classes....And there were no blues bass classes listed! Thus, my dad called up the blues bass teacher, "Uncle Rod" affectionately, for our class from last year and asked him what was going on. Turns out Uncle Rod's going on tour, as are the other bass teachers, so he's going to call up NGW and tell them that they need to get a blues bassist in before they lose four customers, one who's been going for five years, one for four, one for two, and one for one. He's also going to recommend my dad to teach the class.
Um, yeah, so that's all that's basically happened so far. Still don't know if I made it into Jazz Band or not.

Yesterday I finished the rough draft on a research paper for english, that only turned out to be about two pages double-spaced. It was about blues and jazz in the '20's.
In other news, my mom ordered me the ENTIRE Fruits Basket series (disregard the fact that it's only 4 DVDs in total...about 24 episodes) at once! Whee, go my mom! ^^
Wow, what an interesting life I lead. *sarcasm*
I'm rather stressed about jazz band, though...Everyone in my family will be disappointed if I don't make it, and the band director at the high school has very high musical expectations..And everyone at the high school is expecting me to be this amazing bass player because I'm B.J.'s little sister. -_-; I'm also doing this major, major project for English, and I'm starting to come down with a really bad cold (stress-induced or caught from my brother, I don't know which...both are equally possible). Truth is, I don't get enough sleep at night. I know, I know, 7-9 hours on school nights sounds plenty to some people, but no matter how much sleep I get, I always feel like I'm tired. -_-
If writing wasn't one of my only outlets for emotions, and if it wasn't so incredibly fun, I'd put all of my stories on hold. But I can't because I love writing so much, no matter how geeky, dorky, or idiotic that sounds.
Sheesh, I hope this doesn't turn into another Teen Angst Blog-type thing. :P But really, I'm not angry at anything, nor am I consumed in self-pity and world-loathing. Just tired and stressed. I stress out over stuff that doesn't need stressing out over, anyway...
A happy Valentine's Day to one and all, I suppose. Today I got stuck with watching my nephew for 2-3 hours while the rest of my friends went to the movies. ^^;
"Hey little Al, how are you?"
"NO!"
For those that are obsolete, Little Al is my nephew. He is soooo spoiled, methinks. -_-;
Otherwise nothing terribly interesting has happened since yesterday. Well, I did find out that for Jazz Band auditions for high school, I have to play something with the time signature of 45/8, literally, and 15/16...o.O How am I supposed to count THAT? o.o; The try out song that we get to practice is really easy, so I guess you have to get it perfect before the try out date.
My report card was good. I had a bunch of A's and A+'s, and the only grade under an A I got was a B+ in Engineering. So close yet so far. T-T Well, I got straight A's last marking period, so I guess you can't get 'em every time. :P
I'm also upset because I have nothing to make anime music videos with! I tried iMovie, but for some reason it doesn't like my .mov, which I got after I doctored a .avi with DivX Doctor II (VERY useful, if you only have QuickTime and don't want to download MPlayer or VLC). Stupid iMovie grays out the .mov, which it's supposed to be able to read, but can see the .avis...Of course, it can't import the .avis ANYWAY because Quicktime can't play them...Argh! >.< And the only premiere try out I can find is only for Windows. >.< *rant grumble rant petulance rant*
Anyway, that's all for tonight.
