Jazz Band Auditions

You guys are probably like, "...Eh?! o.O" (You can tell by the way that I say "eh", I'm Canadian! *cough*AngryBeaversquote*cough*)

But yes, I tried out after a long talk with my dad. Most of my problem was confidence and not thinking I'm good enough. -_- But anyway, we got the results in....

AND I MADE IT!! ^_^

The only downfall is marching band (I'll get stuck with cymbals, probably), but it'll still be awesome. Wheeeeeeeee.

Piko's 14th birthday was monday, and my brother's birthday was yesterday. He got a DS and some games for it (Super Mario 64 DS, Ridge Racer DS, and will be receiving Rayman DS). Yes, these are all ports (with modifications on gameplay and better graphics) from the Nintendo 64. Pretty awesome, yes? ^^

But in the mean time, I've been crammed with a whooooooooole lot of homework. I have an english essay due friday, which is a character analysis on one of Shakespeare's characters in Twelfth Night, we're starting a research project where we need to interview someone about their life, we will be starting Julius Caesar while doing that project (which will end up in a 5-7 page essay), we had to write a persuasive letter to the superintendent about the use of metal detectors (for/against) for health, a 5-ish page webquest for health (relatively easy, but tedious), a lab for science (consisting of 10 graphs), and a powerpoint for science. And then those were/are just the major things..I still have all of my other little homework things, like math.

My inspiration to write has died and withered away recently. I hope it comes back. Because chapter 1 of Hidden (even though I completely rewrote it) really sucks...

Um...yeah.

MewMewMew

....

No, I don't have a better title.

Anyway, happy March! (-_-;;) Class recommendations came in! I got recommended for:

English II Honors
Global History II Honors
Biology Honors
Algebra II
German III

As far as electives go, I was going to try out for jazz band...so I got the audition piece and practiced it with my bass teacher and everything, but I decided that although I'll probably make the auditions, I'm not prepared for the class.

I tried to tell my bass teacher this, but he said that I should try out and that I'd make it, and I'm horrible at confrontations so I didn't argue. So now he thinks I'll be trying out...and he knows the jazz band director so if I don't go he'll find out. -_- I didn't want my brother to make fun of me or my dad to get mad at me, so I didn't say that my bass teacher still thought I was auditioning. T-T

But I know I'm not going to try out. Still...next bass lesson won't be fun (tryouts are this wednesday, next bass lesson is saturday). -_-

Anyway. I'll be taking Japanese instead (you can take another language instead of an elective).

I downloaded this old school game called Doukutsu. It's really fun.

There's also this amusing little flash called Nana Crash, but I'm too lazy to dig out its URL so maybe I'll post it later.

I had dinner with my mom and my global teacher on thursday at a cool restaurant in town. ^_^ It was lots of fun. Hehe, girls' night out (my brothers and dad stayed home and ate pizza and whatever manly stuff guys do when girls aren't around).

And...um.......there's more, but it's fairly insignificant.
