Hey everybody.
I was up in Davis on Monday signing papers with Kelly in preparation for us getting our very own apartment for next year. I took some pictures of the complex, which you can find here.
My parents have suddenly become surprisingly supportive of this venture, and I'm not complaining. Their only requisite now, it seems, is that I save like hell, and I am. I've got about 3 grand in the bank and it's growing. Hopefully by the time we move in in mid-September I should be able to have another $3-$4 thousand in there. That'll provide a nice buffer and let us furnish our apartment to our liking.
In other news I've been downloading music like crazy. iTunes says I've added around 1300 songs in the last 3 months, which is nice. I'm about to break 6000 songs in iTunes, and within a week or two I'm probably going to need to get the external enclosure I've been looking at so I can move my library over to my spare 80GB hard drive.
On the creating music front, I've been trying off and on to record a cover of Trains by Porcupine Tree and having not a lot of success, largely because I'm not a good guitar player. But it's practice, I guess.
Lastly, today marks yet another monthly anniversary for Kelly and I: 27. Eventually we're going to stop paying attention to the monthly ones.
Maybe I'll edit this post if I think of something else later.
