At our high school people pull the smoke alarm all the time. Hell, I know someone who pulled it once.

Are you saying that you have been avoiding chewy, sticky, and hard foods when you had braces? Just to tell you, it was bullshit.
I ate just about all the food I wanted when I had braces, and I got them off a few months early. In fact, I didn't pay attention to my braces at all; I broke just about every rule there was.

But it's still great to get them off, although retainers are worse. When I can stop wearing these I'm gong to melt them or something. (thank god I can stop wearing them around the 4th of july) >:P

And just so you know, I wear these about half the day (which s bad. very bad. But they say that I'm doing perfectly...)

Holy shit, I forgot about those.
I couldn't talk with them on, but they did look pretty badass.

And they made my teeth sore as shit, too. They were constantly snapping... have you ever been talking to somebody when all of a sudden

*BLIK*

*Fwiiing...*

"... Dude, what the hell was that?"
*kid off to the right cries out in pain as he removes offending object from eye*

"hmm? What was what?" *BLIK* Fwiiing...
"AH, MY OTHER EYE! GOD DAMMIT!"

I never really saw the point. After five minutes of streching them in my mouth, they lost about 90% of their strength. Wearing them to school, they never got past first period. Sometimes i wore them in my sleep.

I never wore my bands. They didn't seem to matter, anyway.

Then again, I stopped wearing my retainer waaaaay too soon, mostly because it got really nasty, no matter how many times I washed it.

That costed me one tooth on the bottom front that's slightly out of place. But that's okay, I think I'll live.

OKAY. The reason that they are telling you you are doing OK insomniac, is very sad for you. But I will tell you. The joke is, they want your money. They don't want you to feel dissatisfied with their work. They are using all the generic methods to fix your teeth. THEY CAN NEVER PINPOINT WHETHER YOU'VE BEEN WEARING YOUR RETAINER OR ELASTICS OR NOT. Know why? Its called your body, and machines can't change that. To sum this rant up...they will never be the one to tell you you aren't looking good. Its all about the money beleive me. But if they tell you to do something related to teeth...you should do it. After all it is their job.
